This Week's Baked Bean Shockers
1. The UK consumes more baked beans than the rest of the world combined.
2. Taste testers could not distinguish Heinz baked beans from Aldi own-brand baked beans. One costs forty pence, the other costs one pound forty. What are you playing at, Aldi? Sod off back to Germany, you don't understand our ways.

They're running a phone-in poll in America at the moment:
| Which of these planes would you prefer to be shot down by an IRGC hand-held missile: Air Force One carrying President Trump or Air Force Two carrying fifty MSM decoys? |
Early results are showing one-third for Trump, one-third for the press plane, and one third for both.

I just got a message from Medium.com telling me one of my stories had attracted ten clappers. It turned out to be a response I hade made, two years ago, to a story entitled 'Mom, you can't say that'.

In the England of the 1950's, the Spastics Society had a logo of a small boy in leg calipers and it was a favourite charity of many schools. Naturally we (oh, yes) called anyone playing badly 'a spaz'.
This then became a generalised term of abuse. But isn't today. It would be considered grossly insensitive. The Spastics Society renamed itself Scope so it is doubtful if anyone of immature years even knows what a spastic is. I'm not entirely sure myself. |
